GRAIN ROT Elevator Symbols: 15 Modifier Effects
A version-sensitive field key to the modifier icons rolled before the elevator doors open.

In this field note
The GRAIN ROT elevator panel rolls a set of symbols before the doors open. A launch-week player guide identifies fifteen effects. The names and behaviors below are observed from that dated guide, not an official developer glossary, so check the current build if an icon, label or balance value differs.
Economy and utility symbols
- Black Market: a hidden vendor appears in the dungeon. The observed guide says purchases use gold earned during that run, so early grinding can fund the shop.
- Gold Rush: gold output from processing is doubled according to the guide, making sellable decor more valuable than usual.
- Heavy Machinery: adds another smaller processing machine inside the floor, reducing hauling distance.
- Surveyed: places a map room near the elevator, allowing the team to study routes before wandering.
- Overcharge: improves the spark’s recovery margin after a wooden vessel breaks.
- Lucky Find: free utility items appear around the map.
- Hidden Stashes: breakable money banks appear in rooms and can be smashed for coins.
- Unnamed baseline/no-effect icon (formal label unverified): the guide describes one icon as having no special effect, but the transcript does not establish its displayed in-game name.
Exit and environmental danger symbols
- Power Outage: disables the return elevator until the missing fuse is found and inserted. The modifier guide mentions lockers and toolboxes; the solo tutorial separately demonstrates boxes and lockers.
- Reinforcements: increases enemy pressure by adding another Corrupted spawn.
- Hazard Zone: adds environmental traps to hallways and doorways. Stop blind sprinting while carrying loot.
- Lights Out: removes normal lighting for the floor. Unlike Power Outage, the guide says there is no fuse repair; sparks rely on flashlight vision.
High-threat symbols
- Mutation: gives Corrupted enemies elemental effects such as fire, lightning or grain-rot damage in the observed build.
- Nesting Grounds: causes Rot Lurkers to continue emerging, reducing safe time for long looting routes.
- Rot Bloom: builds corruption over time from the air. At high corruption, the observed guide reports vomiting that can destroy held loot, distorted voice and spread to nearby players.
How to use the panel
Do not memorize only “good” and “bad.” Read the combination. Heavy Machinery plus Gold Rush is creator-reported synergy, but not measured in the retained video. Power Outage should move the fuse above furniture. Lights Out plus Hazard Zone is an editorial inference from the two individual effects, not a directly demonstrated pairing. Rot Bloom means the team has a timer and should avoid clustering around a fully corrupted player.
The video explains effect names but cannot serve as a pixel-perfect icon atlas in text. Match the current panel label and effect description rather than guessing from a tiny silhouette. If the build displays a different name, use the live game as authoritative.
Evidence status: the cursed elevator and shifting ruins are Steam-confirmed. The fifteen-effect key and individual tactical effects are player-observed from a video published during launch week and are version-sensitive; unmeasured pair priorities are editorial synthesis.
